Digital Video Production

I've been a videographer since 2015. In that time I've worked on short films, live sporting events, web streams, social media promos, and weddings. My experience covers the production process from start to finish:

Pre-Production Planning Script Writing Actor and Interview Direction Cinematography

Lighting / Grip Audio Capture Editing Motion Graphics Color Correction / Grading

I take pride in my adaptability. Often my social media-focused video projects involve a quick turnaround and changing conditions. For documentary, news pieces, weddings, and live performances, being in the right place in the right time can mean the difference between success and failure. I often work with non-actors in my videos; being a personable and creative director has allowed me to pull performances out of them that wouldn't have otherwise been possible.

In March of 2020 I produced a multi-cam live stream of a performance by Inspire, a competitive color guard based in Indianapolis.

HGTV’s Good Bones: Production Assistant (July 2017 - December 2018)

Tackled a variety of production tasks both on- and off-set, including video equipment setup, crew and talent transportation, craft services management, and prop acquisition. Communicated daily with construction contractors in order to relay information to producers in the field. Captured daily timelapse photography of construction sites using GoPro cameras with an eye for storytelling context. Captured on-set photography of talent, including the taking of candid photos during video filming and the direction of staged photos between scenes.

Drum Corps International: Video Production Internship (Summer 2015)

Operated a camera during dozens of live-streamed multi-camera sporting events around the country, including complete setup and teardown of audio, video, and network equipment and cabling.  Shot and conducted both on-the-street and staged interviews in a TV news format. Shot and edited numerous promotional videos on a tight schedule, usually posted to the DCI YouTube channel within 48 hours of recording. The video intern team was largely self-directed in the projects that were pursued, and collaborated on many of the videos posted to the YouTube channel in the summer of that year. Communication with team members was constant, with each member providing both critique and technical support to their peers.
